Hello dear Celeste... I have read and re~read your beautiful, touching post from last year... and just like last year, my tears are flowing... you are one of the kindest ladies I know, and I am sure you miss your sweet daddy so much too... and are so very proud of him, and the service he gave to our country... I am off to take my little flags to the cemetery now... I will say a little prayer for your daddy today too when I sit and visit with mine... xoxo Julie Marie

Dearest Celestina Marie,

Oh my... words cannot 'frame' this! First let me give you a very tight HUG for your Dad! Coming from Europe and being born post WWII I grew up with all the stories from my Dad and other family members. My husband was a teen at that time so the many sacrifices made by so many brave service men and women are tremendously appreciated!!! Once Pieter and I got through Belgium in the Ardennes, on a Tour coming back from our trip to Spain/Portugal. For us, being the ONLY Americans on that bus, it was so touching to pass through that town where they flew American flags and banners saying: Thank you USA! We cried...
Our best friend, a Ret. Colonel, did loose all his friends in Vietnam. Words cannot cover that loss and suffering! Wish the schools would again teach true history and make pride again a virtue for young people.
I've shortened your blog's link and did tweet it. At least 'some' more readers can see it and maybe, God willing, it will awaken enough people to see that we are rapidly loosing that very FREEDOM so many died for...

Lots of love and respect to you and other family members of those that served!
