All around our area of North Texas, Spring is beginning to warm the days and wake the flowers from their winter nap. My pretty red Camellia bush is full of buds and several blooms. Gorgeous in yellow, is my Carolina Jasmine. Pots of Knock Out Roses that line the entry to our garage in the driveway are filling out nicely with new leaves and lots of growth. And, my hydrangeas are up and filling in with long stalks reaching for the sunshine.
Yes, Springtime is on it's way. I can't wait to work in the garden, dig in the dirt and talk to my flowers once more. I believe one is nearer to God in the garden. I long for the peace and quiet of the new blooms as they enjoy their rebirth. The fragrant aroma in the air of fresh flowers when the wind blows. The scent of the earth after a soft rain and the feeling of a new beginning each and every day of the new Spring.
Today I snapped a few first pics of my garden trying to wake up. Received Country Gardens magazine in the mail with a spotlight on the cottage style garden, which I can't wait to read~~~ and watched as my neighbors Bradford Pear tree dropped white blossoms like a Spring snowfall as the wind blew.
As the Springtime is surely on it's way and it arrives with a huge welcome,
I know that many around the country are still entertaining the last of winter with ice and cold rains. But the hope for us all, is a new season coming upon us.
Thank you for the kind comments on my Cucina redesign. Your words surely have been an encouragement and blessing.
Have a wonderful March Day and Happy Springtime!
Smiles, Celestina Marie

It is so lovely to see some colourful Spring flowers.
Celestina the Bradford Pears are in full bloom here as well! I think they are a beautiful tree! My hubby does most of our gardening, unfortunately since I work full time outside the home. I can't wait to retire to be a full time homemaker. I plan to spend lots of days in the garden.
Your garden is shaping up nicely!! I love your Jasmine!
Hi Celeste... I sooo enjoyed your beautiful Spring flowers today... we got hit with almost 10 inches of snow in a fierce winter storm last night... Jack is still out there digging us out... so I shall daydream that I am in Texas, out in your garden with you, soaking up that glorious Texas sunshine!... xoxo Julie Marie
Beautiful pictures for a spring-starved heart! We shall be a least a month before our snow is gone; some of the banks in the backyard are over 10 feet high. I think it was record year but that isn't giving me any comfort!
So, I am going to content myself with pretty floral fabrics for the next few days and plant a quilt-garden.
Thanks for the pictures of what-is-to-come...
Beautiful pics. Still cold here in northern Indiana, but I know spring is just around the corner. Let the dog out early this morning, before light, and heard the birds singing. Always the best indication that spring is on the way!
Waaah! No spring here....waiting for the next freezing rain storm tomorrow:(
Not even a sign...a hint..nothing..sigh..
Your budding flowers are pretty.
Oh Celeste, I love this post. I started crying, because memories of last summer and the one before flooded back of planting flowers with my boys. Now I have left that house behind and that beautiful yard :( There are no flowers here and the yard is terrible and tiny. I want my boys and I to do that again here. It is hard to believe that I actually left that home. Your flowers are soooo beautiful and I cannot wait to see that around here. We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow :( I will have to come back and look at your pictures for a pick me up :) Thank you so much for your kind words on my creations. I am so inspired this year!!
Love you sweet friend,
Amy
Spring is in the air in SC with everything blooming! Your pics are so pretty!
We have already been digging in the dirt, weeding and cleaning up inside and outside. So much to do at this time of the year, but will be worth it in a couple of weeks.
I forgot to tell you that your new chandy in the kitchen is identical to mine in our dining room.
I knew you had great taste. lol
I really do love it.
Hugs!

I'm not sure I can say spring yet....but, it has warmed up to a lovely -4C instead of our last week's -26C...does that count for something...I sure hope so.
I'm looking forward to a lovely holiday....somewhere exciting, fun and warm...
Mercy! You can grow shamrocks in the ground out there! I LIVE IN THE WRONG STATE FOR SURE!!! Your florals are just beautiful Celeste.
There is nothing more beautiful than the resting seeds, nourished beneath the autumn leaves & winters snows, birth in spring to blossom in the summer.
How is your shoulder coming along? Did you all have a nice respite?
Love you, Celeste.
Happy St. Paddy's Day ~

Celestina, I "Treaure" these photos of your garden. They are so serene. I forgot to mention when I told you I've been doing genealogy research that I learned I have an entire clan of relatives in TX that I've never met. Their last name is Mallott. Do you know anyone by that name in TX? Hugs...
