Just a Little Spot of Tea~

Welcome friends to another Tea Time Tuesday. With Autumn just a few days away, you can feel the air changing and the soft hum of the wind outside.
For me, this is a favorite time of year. Cozy evenings, curling up with a good book, comfort foods on the stove, inspiring days creating, and of course a delicious cup of tea.
With many busy days ahead this season, I must make it a point to stop, relax and enjoy a tea break, even for just a little spot of tea. Which brings me to share a few of my favorite small tea pretties.

Sweet and useful in gorgeous blue and white is this hinged teapot porcelain box. Perfect for holding tea or sweeteners.

Tiny and true is another favorite that was a gift from a dear friend. I just love this sweet Blue Willow decorative set complete with the original scene on the tea pot and saucers.

Demi cups and saucers are among my small favorites too and on vacation this year I found this gorgeous little rose luster ware demi set. It was marked 2 dollars. Of course that was too good to pass up.

The details and condition are like new. Simply small and gorgeous.

Lastly and lovely is the small and oh so pretty sugar and creamer set. I found this at an antique market several weeks ago. I appreciate the hand painted and raised design in soft colors. It looks to be very old but in elegant condition. Look how pretty is compliments the rose luster ware set.

For today, even with a small cup of tea, I will read the pages of A Cup of Friendship, by The Clever Factory and welcome you to join me in remembering, take time to relax within the busy times of the day. Reflect on the season and the joy in everyday treasures. Time marches on so quickly and what we miss we can never get back.

Thank you for joining me today and for the list of more tea time participants, take a journey over to Sandi's of Rose Chintz Cottage.
Happy Autumn~
Blessings always,

You're right, fall is just around the corner. I love the smell of the forest and then leaves rustling under the boots and the chestnuts falling and collecting cones and the last mushrooms.
And long evenings with a book or some kind of needlework in her hand.
I really like the old porcelain. Also sometimes I buy something.
For me, drinking tea is a real ritual, and must have a pretty setting, just like you:))
Yours sincerely!

Such a beautiful post. Blue Willow is one of my favorites. It was probably my very first *love* of a china pattern ... a very, very long time ago! I just love the story behind the pattern. Beautiful tea cups. Happy Tea Day.

Hello Celeste! Such pretty pieces you're showing today. It makes me glad to be a girl. :)

Blue Willow is the only pattern I remember from childhood and that's because of the book!

Have a wonderful day! ♥

Dearest Celestina Marie,

This looks and feels like the perfect thing right now! The weather is cooler and even though still no rain, the tea time pleasures are fit for the season.
Our garden looks bad, we will loose trees, shrubs, plants but that is nature... Life can be tough.
Slowly I'm fluffing back from our trip. Always hard to get over the emotional part of having said goodbye (forever?) to my parents and also Pieter's elderly brother who's not in good health either. But life goes on, the price for an immigrant to live in two worlds. We managed to visit my parents for the 63rd time now... No regrets, for whatever will come as we've done our share.
Love to you and enjoy your lovely and romantic china!

I'm not usually a blue sort of girl but the first tea pot is just beautiful! I love how you collect all sorts of styles and not sold on just one type, color or theme. Very pretty! Hug.Tammy

Hi Celestina, I enjoyed reading your blog tonight and felt like I was sharing a cup of tea with you. I haven't seen a hinged tea pot in a long time. Autumn is definitely my time of the year. I am anxiously awaiting for the trees to turn to their beautiful shades of oranges, reds. I don't mind wearing a sweater of a morning and taking it off in the afternoon. I just hope it stays that way. I just wish that there had been some way to send some of our flood waters to the people who lost their homes in the fires before it happens. At least it is cooler then it has been. Have a wonderful day. Your Missouri Friend.

You have so many pretty tea cups and tea pots! I have very few but I should spend some time looking for more.
Glad to hear the weather is a little cooler. Did you get the rain that some Texans got the other day?
It's been perfect temps lately. (In the 80's compared to a 100.)
Hope you're having a great week!
Hugs!

What a beautiful post Celestina! I love your teacups but I love more that you take the time to pause and enjoy the day, the hour, the moment.
fall is my favourite time of year; warm sunny days, cooler nights and the harvest is at it's best. Even the Fall colours are my favourite palette and I just bought myself a sweater in a gorgeous pumpkin shade - it will be lovely when the days get cooler still.
Thank you again for such an insightful post; it was just what I needed!

Celestina,
Oh, you are right about relaxing and enjoying the Fall season. It is my favorite time of the year. Your teapot trinket box is so cute. I was just telling a blogger friend that I love those boxes, and every time I see one that is unique, I buy it and bring it home with me. The last blue tea cup with the friendship sign was beautiful, and made my heart sing. These are all such lovely treasures, and it makes me want take time to enjoy a cup of tea. Enjoy the weekend, my friend.

I always enjoy visiting your site...you have such beautiful things! Loved the tea cups set and that old creamer and sugar bowl...
it does go lovely with the pearlized cup and saucer. Also, I think your blue dishes are wonderful...I have never been a blue person (I think because there were just me and my sister, a year younger, and growing up I always got PINK things and she got BLUE!)
But I have been seeing lots of blue appearing lately, and I am beginning to see how very pretty it all is!!!
Have a happy week...Francy
