Merry Christmas Tea Time
In: Celestina Marie Designs, Christmas. light bulb ornaments, prayers 6:00:00 AM By: Celestina MarieWelcome Friends to my holiday tea and Merry Christmas to you all.
It is so nice to be back to participating in a tea time once again. The last couple of months have been so very busy, so it is now time for a little tea break, reflect on the season and prepare to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child.
As I decorated our home for Christmas this year, I added a special tea pot with sugar bowl, creamer and mugs to my hutch display. In traditional colors, it brings a festive look for our holiday gathering. I am also so excited to redesign this hutch in the new year to a new and updated look. I hope to serve you a Valentine tea with the new style.
The cardinal tray behind the tea pot is the perfect compliment to the set.
So welcome in and please be at home as we visit over tea and Christmas dreams filled with more blessings then we can imagine. Join me in adding my newest 2012 ornaments to the tree. Each year my best guy and I find an ornament in our travels to place first on our tree each year. It has become a tradition with us and a time to remember when we look back each year to the ornaments collected over time. This year we added the little teacup and saucer with the red poinsettia and the tea pot to hang close by painted with ribbon and holly. The tea pot is by Lenox.
The full size tea pot and mugs are just as pretty in reds and green with a creamy background. I love the look with my waverly designs and black toile.
Please enjoy a Christmas cupcake I baked just for you. They are vanilla cream with buttercream frosting that looks like snow and sprinkled in red and green.
The glass plate I am serving these cupcakes on is one that holds special meaning for me. It was a Christmas gift from my dear son when he was just a teenager and first started working part time while going to school. He saved his money to give me something special. Special it is, and one, I will cherish forever because I know how hard he worked to give it. He was only 15.
While we enjoy our tea and cupcakes, an angel over looks our gathering atop my hutch with a large pinecone tree I created many years ago.
Thank you for coming by to spend some time and share in tea. It has been special to have you. Please visit our hostess Sandi of Rose Chintz Cottage for many more participants and her list of more lovely tea hostess too.
Before we go, I'd like to share a Christmas prayer with you adorned on a special ornament that hangs on my tree. The prayer in poetry is written by Ken Cornell. (Click on the pic to enlarge the words if needed.)

TFS this is all beautiful, and the poem was meant to mist my eyes.
Your ornaments and plate are pretty and precious. Here I go now to make a cup of tea...
Merry Christmas, Celestina!
What a wonderful time of year it is to celebrate the birth of Christ!
Love your posts and your new tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl. They are my favorite color combos.
How precious is your cupcake plate. What a treasure to keep always.
Can't wait to see what you do with the kitchen hutch.
I'm so sorry I haven't been around lately.
We did go to CA and had a wonderful time. When we came home a nasty flu bug hit and I was down for the count. It was bad for two wks. I was so late in getting my tree up..I almost didn't do it. (smile)
Glad to be back among the living.
I hope you have a blessed Christmas and New Year!
Hugs!
Dearest Celestina Marie,
How I would love to have tea with you... even without the 'sweets'... The glass plate story is rather touching! What an everlasting gift!!!
Love the pine cone tree you made years ago, even though it is not clearly shown in the picture.
Your collection of china is lovely.
Enjoy this special week and wishing you a Merry Christmas,
Mariette
Beautiful! All of it. I love your red bird tea-set. I have red birds in my kitchen. Love the ornament with the poem too. Very touching to me.
Merry Christmas.

Celestina,
Tea Time is always so special at your house. Those cupcakes look so yummy, and the glass plate they are on is beautiful. I can see why you will treasure it forever being that your son bought it for you. Sons are special indeed. That prayer touched my heart, and I must write it down and keep it always. I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas, and this year YOU
are one of my special presents. Have a blessed season Celestina.

Dear Celeste,
Your certainly know and have a talent to serve some tea! I love your post and just everything I see! How special to find a teacup ornament every year. I've never seen one anywhere here, so I think it must be quite some challenge to find one, or not? The cupcakes tasted exquisite and the tea warmed my heart. It all just looks so cozy and warm in there! You'd easily dream away while sitting at that festive table.
Blessings and big hugs,
Ingeborg
