Dear Mom,
As we celebrate another Mother's Day without you, I remember our last time together, twelve years ago when we all had dinner together at our home on that precious Sunday for Mother's Day.
You left us 4 months later to live in your heavenly home. While I still know the pain of that sad time, I find great joy in the knowledge you are in a much better place with our Lord.
Your pink roses planted outside your bedroom window here at my home, are doing beautiful. Full and gorgeous just the way you last saw them. I remember how much fun I had planting that pretty climber just for you when you came to live with us. It remains a blessing to me each and everyday as I view the beauty of this hardy vine.
This day as always, seems the perfect time to say thank you for having been in my life, although to short a time. Your teachings remain with me each and every day as I draw from those learning's in my daily life. Your loving ways, generous heart and gentle spirit will always be alive in my world. Always wise and helpful, was just your way. On nearly any subject I remember your words as my guide, but most of all, I hold dear your love for God and the example you set for me during my growing years. Memories today I keep close in heart and mind.

Oh Celeste... what a beautiful post to your mama... and her special pink roses are so precious... I cannot imagine been without my dear mom, but you've taught me a lesson about letting go,and to be in a better place, next to our Lord... as the inevitable will eventually come to all of us, anyway. Oh what beautiful roses, I bet Mom has a hand in that!! My Mom is still alive,but my Dad has passed, I just know we are never old enough to lose a parent! Enjoy your Mothers Day and don't forget to smell the roses!

It is hard when these special days come by when you have lost your mother or father or both. We think about all of the wonderful memories and we do have a lot of those. Your Mother will be smiling down from heaven. Such a poetic tribute, summing up the meaning of a dear mother. I'm still blessed having my Mother, however scarce the time spent with her due to the vast distance across the ocean. But hearing her voice is great.

Ok, so now you did it to me, also. The tears are streaming as I write this, because I know how your heart aches for your mother just as my heart aches for mine. This is one day a year, that my thoughts and memories of my mother truly surround my heart, more so than any other day.

Celestina, A very special mothers Day to you, my friend. Your tribute is lovely and had me in tears as I also miss my mom terribly. It's been 10 years and I miss her so much, sometimes I even feel like I need her here beside me to guide me and help me in a difficult situation. Being an only child don't have a sister and my godmother is also gone, so have to face the situations myself. Hugs and blessings...Lu
