My red door is home to an antique style urn which I change out for the season filling it with greens, flowers and more.
Recently, I saw an idea to add letters, but I thought it through and loved the postcards from France look better.
Using postcard graphics from The Graphics Fairy, the design began.
I cut 1/4" wood the size of the over sized postcards that I printed on card stock.
Next I painted the wood a natural color to go with the postcards vintage patina.
Next I glued the cards to the cut wood using modpodge and also a coat of modpodge over the card to seal in place. Remember these are going to be used outside.
I also glued on wood stacks to the backs using wood glue, let dry and then ready to add to the urn.
Thank you for stopping by, please come in for some tea and sconces.
Happy Creating and Decorating,
