Waking to White, Creates a Glove Box Design

Happy Winter here!!

Yes, this is Texas,

 but we woke up yesterday

to a beautiful wintry mix of light snow and very cold temps.

I just had to share a few pics with you.

 Growing up in Michigan,

I am not new to snow and ice,

but living here, it is very rare.

Pretty white snow on the Palm Tree!

The rose arch looks so pretty glittering with light snow.

Almost like it is in full bloom!

Today makes for the perfect day

 for creating.

I finished a vintage glove box with paint,

 lace, trims and crocheted flowers.
These are easy and fun to redesign.

You might remember the tutorial I shared HERE.
By the time I finished this post and glove box,

the snow was gone and only a memory now.

The cold is still here and our weather people say,

Thursday may bring more of the same.

  More creating on the way.

Stay warm!

Happy Winter's Day!

Celestina Marie

I wish we had the snow - and so do my precious little pups!! They're so funny in the snow - they come back in the house, covered with snow...legs, paws, bellies and of course their faces...and if they're running around like they usually do, they go and up down the stairs and snow flies all over the place and all over their fur!

You glove box is gorgeous! I love all the vintage lace edging and flowers and things you use!

Celestina,
The glove box is beautiful!!

and your Winter pics make me chuckle a bit because living in NEPA, we definitely do not see snow on palm trees and around a pool filled with water and not ice!! LOL!
How cool is that!!

We have 4 inches of snow over night so we are plunged back into Winter after temps. in the 50's....

Hugs,
Deb

That's my kind of snow, Celeste! Just enough to give me the "Oh, that looks so pretty" and then it goes away. : ) Your glove box looks so very pretty ~ so romantic and feminine looking. Have fun creating!

Good Morning Celestina, I am enjoying looking at your pictures. I love winter in the respect that it makes beautiful scenery. Our snow when we get it doesn't disappear that fast. We have had the cold for sure. We are only up to 22 degrees right now. I have the day off with pay because my boss is sick and we are working with only two at the moment. I love your glove boxes. They are so pretty. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

Your glove box is so beautiful Celeste!... is it for you or your shop?... I would have a hard time parting with it... your dusting of snow looks pretty... we are still covered in FEET of snow and the temp this morning is 9, better than the -2 we had a couple days ago!... I am a winter whiner, I admit it!... enjoy your day today... sending much love, xoxo Julie Marie

Wow, what beautiful shots, Celestina! I hope all that snow and cold doesn't hurt your tender looking plants! I'm looking out our windows right now to bare grass, yes! Here in Michigan all of the snow has melted, though we are in for another cold snap next week. Your glove box is gorgeous! Love the floral detail. Keep warm, my friend:)

Dearest Celestina Marie,
Wonder if that cold front with snow is coming our way... Tomorrow the temperature drops here too and Friday freezing. Lovely photos and we have to take those while we can as it is not that often in the South.
Enjoy your winter.
Hugs,
Mariette

I heard a bout your terrible weather!!! So hard on all of your warm weather plants! We are having record breaking warm temps, we have not have this warm a weather for this long since 1999! YOur glove box is wonderful, I have to remember that they can be painted, I often pass them up because they are so stained!
