Bringing In Aqua

I love to bring in a pop of color with the seasons.
This year aqua is the pop,
mixed with the colors around my cottage of
 whites, browns, blacks and neutrals.

Yes aqua just feels so fresh and springtime.

For the walls~

For the bath~
layers of aqua with black and a touch of vintage lace.

Dresser touches~

Cozy throw in a sitting area

 ready for chilly spring evenings.

A favorite painting
filled with painted flowers
and aqua touches!

Bath accents to relax and refresh~

Faithful reminder,  fresh with aqua.

Springtime birds sweet with aqua and blue green.

What pops of color do you bring in for springtime?

Are you enjoying a touch of aqua too?

Wishing you a beautiful Easter week

filled with pops of color!

Easter Hugs
and
Colorful wishes!

Bunny Loves Spring~

Nothing like a few bunnies to bring springtime to life.

Just a few cottontails to bring a smile.

Black and white pretties, momma with babies.

Burlap and beautiful!
Bunny loves pink Geraniums.
Lighting the way from a special friend, marking springtime~
White and sweet, ready to play~
Double trouble cuteness!
Sitting pretty~

Standing elegant~
French and chic!
Brown Bunny couple always ready to greet~
Blue and Whites, a true favorite.

Yes, Bunny loves spring  to welcome a new season.
Window sill family of three,

 enjoying the view

and reminding me of the joys and blessings of the Easter season.

We had a wonderful time with visiting family.

I am catching up in blogland and I will see you soon.

Thank you for stopping by and your sweet comments in my scheduled posts while I was away.

Kuick, Koverup, Kraft~~

Do you ever have a favorite of something and want it to look more decorative?

Well, as I have brought a bit of aqua into my spring decor,
I have a favorite hand lotion
with an aqua pump top that I love to have handy sitting out on the master bath
vanity.

But the thing is, I'm not one for clutter and I love items to be placed~
deliberately and decorative.

So anyway,
I have this large bottle of lotion, fairly priced and one I grab for all through the day.
I need it out and handy.

But I want a pretty look to fit in with my decor.
So goes this little project.

Staring with the shape of the bottle,
I trace around the front design shape using tracing paper.

Next, I used a pretty french perfume graphic from

Sized it to about the length of the bottle and shape I traced.

Printed it off on card stock and then cut it out, the shape of the tracing paper.
And, the card stock was white and matches the bottle perfectly past the print of the graphic
covering up any small print on the bottle.

Then I  placed the new shape of the graphic on the bottle
and glued in place using mod podge.

Let dry~
and applied a coat of Triple Thick over the graphic.

Let dry flat to keep from any thick running of the TT and later add a ribbon trim.

~Complete~

A touch of the aqua on the pump top with  a new look.
When empty, it can be refilled.

Kuick, Koverup  Kraft
Easy, quick and with a designer look.
Remember, any wrinkles will dry out flat when using Triple Thick.

Happy Spring
See you soon.

Hugs,

Vintage Book Shelf Update

Many years ago,
I found this wonderful old furniture piece in a candle shop going out of business.
I purchased it for a song and used it in my booth space as a display prop.

It worked hard over the years and after I closed my shop to go on line only,
this treasure found a spot in my sewing/laundry room.

It fit perfectly right under cabinets above the washer and dryer and next to my sewing table.
Here it is in a before redesign with rooster graphics.
The inside papers are from a newspaper dated 1904.
I love it because the ads are not only wonderful,
it also is the year my grandmother was born.

For the redo I painted it white and went right over the graphics
knowing they would become something new anyway.

With the original worm holes and distress,
here is the white version and the 1904 newsprint left in place.
I took this pic before I realized I needed to paint the top inside shelf.
Okay, later for that~
In the meantime, next, I found a graphic from The Graphics Fairy
One that would go with the sewing room and laundry.

I love this one and placed it on both doors.
The door knobs will be changed out next.
I found these checked beauties at Hobby Lobby.
You know they usually have their hardware knobs on sale each week
for half off.
I also added a little stencil to each side for balance.

Love the inside papers. Just look at this wonderful collage of ads.

Complete and ready to keep me organized again.
What do you think?
Will I paint the cabinets overhead, above the washer and dryer?
Stayed tuned for the rest of the redo.

Enjoying our family house guests,
wish you were here.

See you soon.

Hugs,
Celestina Marie
