Today is Veterans Day~
and in honor of the
many who have
sacrificed for our freedoms,
I have picked my last long stem red
Lincoln roses of the season.
They stand strong and proud
like the soldiers
that marched into battles
with courage.
Ready to give
nothing but the best.
Detailed and perfect
is their commitments.
Today's young military soldiers
continuing to keep us free.
To the many, like my father who
gave so much.
To all
we give our thanks,
our prayers,
our gratitude
for
your bravery.
God Bless You Greatly
this Veterans Day
and beyond!
Hugs,
Celestina Marie

A beautiful tribute to those who really defend us with their own lives. Hugs, Valerie
Dearest Celestina Marie,
What a perfect timing for your last Lincoln roses; your Father might have had a hand into that...
We did dine on Saturday evening with our best friends and the husband is a retired full Colonel. I got dressed in military look; black jacket with epaulettes and I did add a patriotic silk scarf to it with our flag. Even though we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary (10.11) I also was honoring our Veterans.
Hugs to you.
Mariette

What a lovely tribute to all our service people who fought so bravely to keep us safe.
The Mr. Lincoln rose is a beautiful rose. I planted one this year and I love it. The smell is heavenly and such a amazing color. My roses are still going strong.
Thanks for sharing the lovely post.
Have a wonderful week.
