Welcome back friends
to visit my parlor
for Christmas.
White, silver, gold and natural elements
is the theme this year.
Spending Christmas at home
and inspired by one of my favorite books
and the designs
of Mary Carol Garrity.
With two entries to this room,
I decided to place the tree in one of the arched
doorways this year.
It worked wonderful
and I love the tree by the fireplace.
Sugared Cottage House
with Santa and Sled
under the tree.
The mantel with glittered white trees, angels and greens.
There is a few deer here too, but I'll share those in
another Deer Post~~~~
Glittered Spoon Wreath
Noel pillow.
I created this pillow using a stencil
on a pillow form.
To paint on fabric, I mix, equal parts
textile medium and acrylic paint,
then stencil on the fabric.
The textile medium keeps the fabric soft
where painted.
Window with vintage pattern wreath.
Snowman pillow
with a
lacy throw
I just finished crocheting in black.
Believe pillow with millinery and bells.
The Stockings were hung by the piano with care.
I created these two last year.
Across the room is one of my favorite treasures.
This old vintage hutch is from the late 1800's.
It was my mothers
and now we have re-purposed
it for an entertainment center
holding the CD player, speakers and storage.
I also shared and added a few years ago
the faux stained glass mirror
on the buffet.
The doors are the original lead glass
with my added faux stained glass.
Baskets underneath
slide out to hold magazines and books.
Corner cabinet I found when we lived in Indiana.
I painted, distressed it and added the door applique.
An urn filled with hydrangeas,
glittered white poinsettias
and rolled sheet music
with ferns.
Thank you for stopping by to visit.
I'll be back soon
to share a few more decorations in this room and
some
nip and tucks I have been working on!!
Yes, doing a little nip and tuck.
~~~LOL LOL~~~
Till then,
Hugs,
