Hi Friends~
Going through my stash of wrapping papers
I came across some of my vintage gift wrap
perfect to cover paper mache eggs for Easter.
The colors are so pretty for spring.
To create eggs, I made copies of the papers and then
tore in pieces to layer on paper mache eggs
using modpodge.
(sorry I did not get a pic of the eggs before covered)
Here are a few finished with trims.
I used vintage hemtape frayed, silk roses, tulle and glitter for the little roses.
The plate is a Fitz and Floyd
from 1996.
Pretty for spring, don't you think?
And a few using tissue papers in damask.
A variety of these are so pretty in an Easter basket
or glass bowl.
A great helper doing projects like this
is a Dry It Board.
These large needle surface boards
give you a spot to lay your work down to dry when painting or gluing.
These covered eggs are fun to do, but a bit messy.
I wear a plastic glove on my left hand to hold the egg
as I apply the glue with a paint brush with the right hand.
This really helps.

We also have a new baby in the family
and I wanted to design a card
to go with my gift.
My dear friend Diane from
has been such a inspiration to me over the years
as she designs gorgeous cards with envelopes.
So taking inspiration from her,
I gave a try to line my envelope to go with the card.
Starting with a 4 x 6 card and matching envelope,
I layered the ivory card with yellow designer card stock,
blue and white polka dot card stock
and designer cut paper for the little saying
I found in an card book.
The stars are wood painted white with sparkles
and layered with foam dots and sticker words.
I used white ribbon down the left side
and on the inside I layered the yellow card stock
and blue and white dot paper to write a message.
At the bottom of the card,
I layered blue toile
taken from the baby announcement.
Lastly, I patterned the envelope
and lined it with the blue and white.
As you might realize from the colors, the baby was a boy!!
That's all folks.
Hope you have a great day.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Celestina Marie
