Hi Friends
Hope you enjoyed a great first week of September.
Today I want to share a little project that I can't take credit for, but so enjoyed to create.
My dear friend Betsy from Coastal Colors shared this fun wine cork pumpkin idea
Visit Betsy for the tutorial and to meet her. She is such a talented girl and you will so enjoy your visit
and how she shares projects and home decor.
Anyway, I thought her cork pumpkin was such a great idea.
I wanted to try one or two but did not have enough corks.
So recently when I was out junkin, I came across a bag of corks
and quickly grabbed them up with this project in mind.
And~ I had enough corks to make a large pumpkin and little one to go with it.
For mine I added small faux leaves and copper wire twisted for vine around the top.
You could paint these white too.
Look how cute on top my rusty old scale.
Just a touch of fall in the kitchen to begin a new look for the season.
All you need is corks, paint, hot glue and felt for leaves like Betsy's shares
or faux leaves like I have used.
For the vines, I used wire, but Betsy shares how you can make them using jute.
Visit HERE to see more.
The formula for the cork placement is,
a row of 4
a row of 5
a row of 6
then another row of 5
and the top row again of 4.
Save one for the stem, paint, accent and display!!
Thank you Betsy for the inspiration. It was a fun project.
Now I'm thinking maybe Christmas trees painted white with glitter.
Are you beginning your fall touches?
Creating any new projects.
So much fun isn't it??
I'm so thankful for this time of year!!
See you next time.
Be Blessed.
