Good Fences

Hi Friends~
Is it Thursday already?
That makes it a Good Fence day once again.

Today I have a bit of white in an elegant style iron fence and entrance~

and~
an old wood rustic white fence with cactus growing by a tree.

I love the rustic, need of paint fence more then the elegant style.

What do you prefer?

Have a great day!

You would love the lace iron fences in front of the Camden
Mansions. That must have been an expensive iron fence.

that white fence looks pink on my screen so I diffinitely would prefer the weathered one.

The wooden fence says 'comfy' to me; I'd prefer it as well.

Oh, I am of the old and rustic persuasion! Here in Carmel as we walk along the shore, the homes have this wooden pickett fence that is not quite like the kind you see on Cape Cod, but rather have this wonky and almost fairytale-like figuring to the wood. I WANT ONE! And my husband just might make me one for a very small portion of our garden! You can't come here to Carmel without leaving with some inspiration!

LOVELY FENCES! Anita

I just realized that you live in North Texas too!
Only here do we have a combination of cactus and azaleas and don't we love it all.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts this morning on our new home, I am really in such a muddle because of being so torn with such completely different looks. I need to email you-I have some questions.
Thank you again!
Warm Hugs,
Jemma

Both are lovely, but the rustic fence is more my cup of tea, and certainly what I would choose if I needed a fence! Hugs, Valerie

There's something about a white fence that always appeals to me but I still enjoy the Beaty of rustic simplicity! Love the both ( but maybe the White one just wins!)
Have a great day!

Do I have to pick?
I like the fancy scroll work on the white wrought iron and found the cacti growing by the weathered fence fascinating. I liked them both.

Hello Celeste,
Another beautiful fence! That is a pretty one for sure! I'm amazed that you ladies never run out of beautiful fences to photograph! Fences are much prettier and more ornate in the South apparently because I haven't seen many like the ones you come across here in NH. Always a pleasure Celestina! Excited for my package to arrive! Enjoy the rest of the day!

I like them both, but if I had to have one or the other I would go rustic.

I like both. Fences are much prettier down South. So much sprawling landscape and pasture

I'm with you, Celeste. While the white elegant fence is very pretty, I, too, prefer the more rustic in need of paint fence. :)

I must admit I prefer your rustic fence as well. When I looked at the first fence my first thought was 'imagine having to paint that' :)

That's a very elegant white fence but it would look out of place where I live. The wooden fence and cactus would be more at home here.

Celestina, I like both fences. If I had to paint either one I would prefer painting the rustic fence. What color would you like?

Hello Dear Celestina, it's so very nice to visit with you.
Why, that elegant fence would be my first choice, so neat and clean looking.
Of course rustic is what you will find in our area and there are some wonderful ones for sure.
When I see different fences I think is all you ladies out there who post these fences. I'm amazed at what is out there. I never really noticed them in abundance before. My photography skills, or lack of I should say, keeps me from taking any shots of them. :-)

I trust you are doing well, my friend?
Sweet blessings to you ~ Debbie

I definitely am drawn to the rustic look but there's just nothing classier than an iron fence! On my trip last week I stopped in a store which sold old wrought iron gates. I so wanted to buy one for my new garden when I return to Arizona, hopefully later this year!
