Good Fences

Welcome Friends
to this week's

We sure have many wonderful fences here in the Lone Star State.
From rustic to run down, fancy to funny, we seem to have them all!!

Today we drove upon some fancy style fences and gate entrances in our area.

The setting is beautiful and I love the mix of iron and wood with stone walls.

Can you imagine pulling up to this?

Past the gate and up the drive to home, WOW!

Another grand entry with watch tower.

It really is beautiful, but I still love an old fashion fence and gate
with a driveway you don't have to drive down to get the mail!

How about you?
Fancy or Rustic?

Thank you for stopping by another week of
Good Fences and Gates too.

Be Blessed
Joining

Morning, Celeste! Oh, these are very grand fences! I really like the first one with the woodsy look behind. I like to look at fancy but I'm more of a down to earth kind of gal so just give me a picket fence! :) Hope you've had a good week.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I'm rather fond of sweet and simple myself... isn't that watchtower grand though? I'd feel rather silly myself.

These are beautiful! I can only imagine the homes that are behind these gates! Wow! I love stone and iron myself- both fancy and rustic. Have a wonderful weekend!

They are very beautiful indeed. We see a lot of fancy gates to the horse farms here. I love the long driveways! Texas is the best! Sweet hugs, Diane

These are beautiful, Celeste. I guess I'm plain and simple, though! Many years ago we had a VERY long driveway. Going to get the mail on a cold, wet day was miserable and also, it was a long way to push a trashcan on trash pickup day! lol

All VERY impressive entrances.

Hope that gate is on remote control. Would be a pain to stop, open, and close every time.

Beautiful. I'm more of a picket fence girl. I do have some nice iron gates though and some lattice. I'm rather eclectic.

Wow, those are some pretty grand and impressive gates and entrances! Actually I would love to live at the second one, I could get my daily exercise in just going to get the mail:) Have a great day!

Beautiful!! There is a ranch home just south of Corpus that is nearly identical with all the stone/wrought iron fencing.

the grand entrances are beautiful to look at, but i like simple for myself. and rustic never hurts. :)

Beautiful gates and fences. I am more of a fancy gate person who loves stone and wrought iron. We do have a long winding driveway. Our mail is at the front of our private subdivision, so it's more of a car ride. All of these look impressive. Thank you you so very much for your heartfelt words. They did comfort me and yes I do have some wonderful memories of our sweet Sasha. Yes, your Miss Beazy Lee is there with Sasha, romping around. We shall meet up again one day. Love and hugs, Linda

Hi Celeste!
These photos are beautiful as usual! The fancy fences are beautiful and grand but I guess I am a rustic girl at heart! I agree that the iron and wood combination is gorgeous! I love it! Hope all is well, have a lovely week my friend!

Truthfully....I wouldn't mind testing out the fancy, but my heart really leans more towards the rustic. Even if I lived in Beverly Hills, I'd probably go rustic! LOL. There sure are a lot of fancy fences and gates that I always enjoy seeing. Have a fun filled evening...

I love all of them because they are all such beautiful

Of all these I like the second one the best, like you said it is so neat they used so many different things on it. But my style is a little more rustic I guess.

These are wonderful. Very grand indeed. I do like the combination of the iron/wood in that first gate. What a lovely driveway and grounds on that 2nd fence. - I guess it would depend on the setting or the person as I can see beauty in both the fancy and the rustic so I'm not going to pick a favorite.

It is nice we all do not share the same taste. This is Gregorius, but I tend to like a simple life.

Createology said...

I must say I love them all. Some look too pretentious so that would probably not suit me well. I would like to have a gate for the sense of arrival to my beloved home however it will not happen here...after all I have been waiting 17+ years. Lots of beautiful options here. High on Life July and Good Fences dear...

Rustic would be more my style. I really like the stone/iron/wood one.

I do love our Texas!! We do have something for everyone, don't we. I suppose I'm a mix of the two. You can't ever go wrong with wrought iron, cedar and stone. Such pretty pictures, as always.
Wishing you a lovely weekend!
Happy Friday Hugs and many Blessings,
Jemma

Absolutely gorgeous fences and gates!

These are some fancy fences! Much fancier than what we have out here among the barbed wire and brambles!

I always enjoy when you do these posts. I love fancy, but have to say I enjoy seeing them all with so many different styles. So neat to see how different families interpret different things and design their properties...each telling a story in some way. Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,
Jill
