Don't you just love candles glowing this time of year?
Well, I guess I love candles year round
and
enjoy the faux timer styles all around my home.
No mess or fear of burns, fire or soot.
For this fall season, I accented a few with bits and bobs using fall
crafting supplies.
Here is what I came up with.
These two sit on small pea gravel filled on a wood tray with acorns scattered about.
This is how it looks in the evening with the candle glow.
They come on each night at the same time and stay on for 5 hours, go off automatically
and the whole process begins again the next evening.
They are battery operated and last about 4-6 months depending on your battery type.
Change out the batteries and start all over again.
Love it.
Here are a couple sitting on books, wrapped in lace burlap and ribbon with
leaves and beads tied on.
This style is a faux candle in a jar with added leaves and lace trim.
I created two like this for each side of my mantel which I will share in my
fall home pics soon.
I used dot stickies to adhere the leaves.
Easy to remove for a change out at Christmas or back to the plan jar with no glue marks.
This taller candle was accented with leaves
wrapped around the candle and tied with papered wire ribbon and curled around a pencil at the end.
I added felt leaves and buttons too.
You see below this candle hangs in a standing iron holder and looks
so pretty in the evening.
Again another faux candle on a timer.
I had so much fun with this project using crafting items from my stash already on hand.
I also added a board for some on Pinterest.
So easy to create quick fall charm with either real candles or faux.
Just be careful with real candles, that the material you accent with doesn't come in contact with the flame.
Would you try these?
If so, have fun!
See you next time with my Autumn home photos.
XO
Celestina Marie

Love this! I need to get all my stash out so I can sort through it and get creative.
So pretty... I love how you dressed up your candles so beautifully for the season. Have a lovely day... :)
Your decorations with the candles are wonderful, it all looks so beautiful! Hugs, Valerie
I Love candles too! Love all of your pretty decorations on them.
I have only a couple battery candles that you've painted...and the rest are regular burning candles in sconces. I love the regular burning ones especially in the sconces. Someday, I just might have to order some battery operated ones - and hope they have a prettier color fake flame than the ones I've tried in the past.
Hugs,
Jan
I embellish candles for fall, too! I like to put them into glass containers and add acorns, garland or colored beans around them. I use the timer candles, so they go on and off by themselves! Yours are very pretty, great ideas!
These are my favorite kind of candles, Celeste. I love the idea of not worrying about a fire and soot. I also love the warm glow they provide every night. Your embellishments are so pretty! The vignette with the plush pumpkin and candles is lovely! Your home is so pretty decorated for Fall!
Candle lover here too! I don't care if they're real or fake! I'm just burning off the remainder of the summer candles. Anyway, I love your fall decorating Celestina! Beautiful!
Oh that is so sweet and simple, anyone can put that together now with your help. I still light a kitchen candle, now and then. But with the soon-to-be three-year-old around we have gone to the battery candles.
Thanks for reminding me about the timer tapers I have downstairs, time to get them out. Sweet post! Thanks, Sandi
Oh goodness, do I love candles yes I do! I love them scented, real, fake, tall, short, skinny! I also love how you have arranged them so pretty in your home!

Oh it feels good to come and visit you on my lunch break at school. It was a crazy morning and the thought of cozy spaces is healing. I love these candles and have several in my home that need new batteries! You are an angel my friend.
Sooooo cute and creative Celeste.

Thank you for the continued prayers for my sister! xo
These are absolutely beautiful! I do love the warmth and glow of candles, especially during fall and around the holidays. The faux candles are definitely a great idea when you don't want to have to worry about real ones. Have a great remainder of your week!
so very wonderful. I love candles
What a pretty arrangement for fall, Celestina! I love how you've added the embellishments temporarily, so you can easily remove and change out with the seasons. Thanks for the great tip! One of these days, I need to get some battery operated candles with timers!!
Oh how pretty, Celestina. You almost make it sound like it is easy enough that even I could do it. I love the way the leaves look when the candle is lit. Would you mind if I shared one of these pictures, with a link back to your blog, for my Friday Faves this week?
So pretty Celeste!!
Hi Celeste,

These are such a good idea and I love how you've jazzed them up to make them prettier. I need to get a few...I love the scent of real candles and they are okay for my counters and where I can see them, but these are great to use in spaces where you want s little glow! :)

They are so pretty and I love that type of candle. I am always so afraid that if I light them, that I will forget about them. So I only use the battery candles. I got two pretty ones last Christmas with cardinals on them. I save them for my Christmas decorations.
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for sharing.

Your candles are wrapped so very beautiful, with the autumn foliage, dear friend, and when lighted they looks stunning, even with the foux candles, this is so wonderful !!
Hugs, Dorthe
Simply delightful, my friend :) Isn't autumn is such a beautiful and charming season. Hugs to you!

Yes I too like real or battery operated candles. You have decorated them so nice for fall.
Enjoy your weekend.

Lovely!
Very pretty embellishments, Celeste! I have two faux white candles with monograms on them that these embellishments would work great on. It would allow me to change them up and cover the monogram as the mood strikes. I also just bought a pumpkin colored faux pillar candle at Hobby Lobby because they didn't have a real one. I wanted it to use in my Fall dining table centerpiece. The good thing is the faux candle will last me for years to come. I will still look for a real one because I would like the pumpkin scent.
Oh my these are just gorgeous, you are certainly getting me excited about decorating for fall that's for sure, I love that they come on and stay on for 5 hours and then shut off, I need to go back and see if you mentioned where you bought them and right that down :) Thanks for such great inspiration for gift giving ideas and decorating!
