Hello Friends~
I always say,
the "welcome starts right at the front door."
Last year we redesigned our porch
with Oklahoma flagstone.
It has been a wonderful addition
to
my Ralph Lauren Farmhouse Red Door
and the brick of the house.
Each season I enjoy
decorating the door urn
and fall is no exception.
A few posts ago I shared my
and
today is the rest of that story.
Around the door is a simply garland of fall leaves.
The large pots are from Mexico
and I placed faux evergreen
in each.
With our Texas heat, nothing will grow here long term.
I've tried over and over
so faux it goes!!
I enjoy adding little lights at Christmas to the evergreens too.
To the base, I add seasonal flowers fresh or faux.
The hanging Purslane is still going strong.
The mums will be yellow when in full bloom.
I try and pick mums filled with closed buds
for a better show through the season.
They seem to last longer.
We painted our garden bench last spring
and love it here in the front yard.
It wasn't the same red as the door,
but so close, you can't tell the difference.
Do you decorate your front porch, door and entrance?
It's just a nice way to say hello
and
Welcome to our Home!
See you soon!
Celestina Marie

Your porch is wonderful, Celestina Marie. There's nothing better than a red front door!! You did a great incorporating fall with your planters. Just love this time of year. :)
Of course I'm in love with your red door and bench, Celeste, since it's my favorite color! Your filled urn is so pretty and I would never know that the evergreens are faux! You've set the stage for a lovely Fall welcome. I really love the hanging purslane baskets, too!
I keep a flat basket on my front door that I change out for the sesaons, or months.
Aren't you so happy that we have some cooler temps here? Enjoy your week!
Your entry looks so welcoming and perfect for fall. I have a leave garland similar that I am putting up this week!
Celestina, Happy Monday Morning! Great welcome to your home post.

Thanks for the Beautiful Welcome to your Home, Celeste. I love the urn...the flagstone...the color of the door and the bench! Everything looks wonder"fall".
Hugs,
Jan
What a lovely front door and entryway you have! Our stoop is very small. We actually don't even use our front door, but yes, I still add a wreath, but not much else...no room! ;)
Oh look at that...I want to come and visit,,,Oh goodness, I don't have any fall decor out!
Carol
We have a rusty red door…and we love it. You succeeded in a super Fall WELCOME with your front door, and I love your bench, too.
Can never go wrong with a bit of red, lol. Thanks for sharing, Sandi
Celestina Marie,
What a warm Welcome one gets when they visit your home!!

Thanks for sharing!!

Celeste your porch and house welcomes in a beautiful Autumn expression of splendor. Love it all, your vignette placements of the pumpkins and everything. My parents had a flagstone front covered porch. Blues and Greys, I remember all the pleasure I felt sitting out there engaged in conversations bare footed rubbing the bottom of my feet on its textural beauty.
xoxo,
Vera
Your entry turned out great! I really love your front door. I want to swap out our white front door with another color, but trying to convince the hubby has been hard.

Your porch is so pretty Celestina! I always decorate my porch no matter what time of the year!
Hi Celeste! Oh, your front door is lovely and I love the red. I have a red front door too! All of your fall items really look so nice and I know your guests will just want to start roasting marshmallows when they see it. I love your pretty bench painted red too! You're just so good and I love seeing your gorgeous home.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You are a smart lady to pick the mums just coming into bloom / I do the same :) What a lovely entry way...just perfect...not too much / just enough :)
Very pretty and very welcoming! I am always drawn to red and brick. The fall colors just accent what is already such a pretty front entrance.
Celeste your front porch looks amazing....love it all so warm and welcoming, great way to welcome your guest....
I always decorate my front porch, I added a new wreath I purchase at Home Goods, faux pumpkins and real mums, just like you I try to purchase the ones that are still not fully open yet...well sweetie thanks for sharing.....

What a pretty and welcoming entrance, Celestina! I love the flagstone! It is just gorgeous. And your bench looks wonderful and so cheery. Wow, I never would guess those evergreens are faux! Love how you can dress them up from season to season. And NO watering, and no pruning, either:) hahaha!
Love your red door and bench. It is very welcoming!
warmly,
deb
I love your decorations
Beautiful porch Celeste....Just decorated mine yesterday...putting finishing touches on it today...seems it is one of the last things that I do in decorating for Fall. Love the bench in that gorgeous red.
The red door caught my eye. I have one too, and I'm getting lots of ideas from your pretty entry.
Your porch looks so inviting and pretty. Lovely way to make an entrance. What a pretty red door to welcome your guests. Have a wonderful week. xoxo
Yes we decorate the front porch, I don't have anything hanging on my door because we don't have much light in the front entrance so that let's more light come in, but I have things all around my door :) Just lovely inviting entrance you have and I love how you add the leaves to your pots and the bench being away from the door you can't tell at all it is a different color!
Your porch looks so warm and friendly. You did a beautiful job decorating it for fall. Love the flagstone too.
Your door and bench area are so pretty for Fall. Love the red on your door and the bench.

Oh my! I am in love with your Fall Urn. Everything is so welcoming. I have up a simple sunflower wreath on my front door and now I am wanting a URN! My man is going to make me quit looking at your blogs! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
You have a beautiful and very welcoming front entrance Celeste! Love, love, love the red door and bench!! Many blessings, Cindy xoxo
Celestina,
Your porch is sooo pretty! If that doesn't say "welcome friends and family" I don't know what does!!! I love the way you used fall leaves in the pots, It looks so natural to me because that's what actually happens to our pots. They fill right up with colored leaves blown about by the breeze! I love the red bench too! It's the perfect finishing touch to your entryway. What great decorating taste you have!
