Happy Weekend Friends
I love to paint and design special boxes
and this one was so fun to transform for spring.
I love being at home and I'm sort of a homebody most of the time.
Yes, it's fun to shop, visit, travel, treasure hunt and more~
but I can say I am truly happy right here at home.
Starting with a brown paper mache box (which I always fail to take a before pic) sorry!
I base coated it in chalk paint using the color Lace, by DecorArt.
It is truly one of my favorite shades of ivory white.
To the lid I have painted my signature nest with eggs and roses trailing about
adding Aqua checks with shading.
Inside I painted it soft Aqua, also chalk paint by DecorArt
called Vintage.
Lace and trims are added around the lid
and
The sides grace checks, polka dots and a spring rose vine.
To the background I add a flyspeck technique to soften the painting.
Shading and dry brushing complete the details.
