When you see a gate entrance with
The flag of Texas
and
The shape of the state.
I drove upon this great entrance gate in the country
a few weeks ago.
I love the rustic charm of the rusty flag and state shape.
These details in the center,
really give the gate some interest and character.
Just down the road a bit more
is a beautiful wood split rail that seemed to run for miles.
So serene, peaceful and calm.
Look how green the grass is getting.
The trees were budding here but hard to see in the photo.
Hope to take photos of Bluebonnets soon.
Thanks for stopping by
See you next time!

We Texans like our gates to say Texas, that's for sure. Love this post and am going over to Good Fences to see what everyone else found this month.

Texas has amazing gates and fences and I am thankful you share such great photos with us. There is a peaceful calm when I visit your blog dear. Thank you so very much...
I always giggle when I look at your fence posts, because I think that my whole neighborhood could fit on just one of the featured properties! What a dream to have so much space!! Lovely!
Lovely gates and entrances
Texans really know how to show state pride. Great looking gate and yes that rail fence seems to go on forever. It's a lovely looking home.
A beautiful post. Love both shots. I am always interested to read posts from Texans as our oldest son lives in Leander and works in Austin. We are in Ky. Been there 3 times never got to see everything we wanted to see.
I thought of you yesterday!!!!!!!!!! We were at the Dallas Arboretum and saw some really cool fences. I was going to take pictures for you to post but that would be cheating.
Love this fence and gate - it's perfect.

that is so cool the way the flag and state shape fit right inside the circles! Love the colors of the wood on the fence up the road too :) Greg and I went to the Botanical garden in St. Louis today and they had a couple blue bonnets blooming, at least I think that is what they were...
